  16. 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  17. 1 clove garlic crushed
  18. 1 teaspoon hot chilli sauce (this can be optional - feel free to leave out if you don't like spice)

Instructions to make to make Bang bang cauliflower

  1. Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized chunks, a few cm long. Don't worry about cutting them quite small - the smaller pieces will get really crispy in the oven
  2. Prepare the paste to dip the cauliflower pieces into by mixing the batter ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Prepare the flour coating for the cauliflower, by mixing the coating ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  4. Prepare the cauliflower pieces for the oven. For each piece, first dip into the batter mixture, shaking off any excess, then roll in the coating mixture before placing onto a baking tray.
  5. Put the cauliflower into the oven for 25 minutes. After this time, remove the cauliflower from the oven - and sprinkle some cooking oil over the cauliflower, then return the tray to the oven for a further 5 minutes. This will allow the pieces to get crispy edges. After 5 minutes check the cauliflower - if the edges are not yet crispy to touch you can return them to the oven for a few more minutes until they crisp up.
  6. Make the sauce by mixing the sauce ingredients together in a bowl. You can taste the sauce and add extra of a particular ingredient to you taste. (For example I added extra hot chilli sauce).
  7. Finally, coat the cauliflower pieces with the sauce, mix well and serve.
