Stir them into the rice and cook for another 15-30 minutes (depending on how much liquid was left in the pot). Stir occasionally. It is done when the consistency is somewhat thick, rich and creamy in appearance... It should not be sticky or watery.
  7. Enjoy... You can fix some corn bread or muffins to compliment the meal.
